thenailsapp operates as a technology and appointment matching network connecting independent clients with certified nail technicians, aesthetic salons, and mobile specialists. thenailsapp is not an employer, direct nail salon operator, insurer, or supervisor of independent specialists. By submitting look briefs, publishing video reels, or accepting booking offers, you agree to these Terms.
01 Appointment Matching Venue & Independent Artists
thenailsapp provides software infrastructure that pairs client look briefs with independent specialists, displays 3 curated offers, provides escrow-gated concierge chat, and processes card authorizations via Stripe Escrow. Each technician operates as an independent business and exercises sole professional discretion over product application, hygiene execution, and set styling.
02 Artisan Onboarding & Verification Checks
We require nail technicians to submit identity credentials, treatment catalogs, and hygiene details prior to receiving verified status:
- Verification Scope: Verification validates identity, business details, and portfolio images submitted during onboarding. It serves as a screening protocol rather than an absolute warranty of individual aesthetic results.
- All-In Pricing Integrity: Technicians agree that submitted offers represent complete pricing for the requested set (inclusive of builder gel prep, cuticles, tips, modular art, and mobile travel fees). Adding surprise charges at the studio table violates marketplace rules.
- Client Due Diligence: Clients remain responsible for reviewing set specifications, communicating skin or chemical sensitivities (e.g. HEMA or acrylic allergies), and confirming suitability.
03 Delivery Modes: Private Studios & Mobile Call-Outs
Appointments are delivered via two mutually agreed formats:
Private Studio Suites[cite: 2]
Clients visit the specialist's salon table[cite: 2]. Private studio instructions and door access codes unlock in your booking ledger as soon as escrow payment is authorized.
Mobile Call-Outs[cite: 2]
The artist travels to the client's home, hotel, or private villa. The client warrants that the space provides clean, adequate lighting, safe electrical outlets for curing lamps, and a flat working table.
Assumption of Risk: Clients and artists acknowledge that visiting third-party premises or admitting mobile specialists involves ordinary everyday interactions. Both parties agree to exercise standard personal and property precautions.
04 Escrow Authorizations, Releases & Cancellation Policy
- Stripe Escrow Holds: Funds are authorized when you accept an offer but remain safely held in escrow. Payouts are transferred to the technician only after you confirm your set is completed. If completion is requested by the artist, the client has 48 hours to confirm or submit an inquiry to concierge.
- 24-Hour Cancellation Grace Window: Clients may cancel penalty-free up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled slot[cite: 2]. The card hold is released immediately back to the original funding account.
- Late Cancellations & No-Shows: Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to arrival, or client no-shows, may incur a late fee up to the deposit amount to compensate the artist for table prep and travel reserves.
- Anti-Circumvention Policy: Conducting transactions off-platform (e.g. paying in cash or direct bank transfers) voids all Stripe Escrow protections and dispute arbitration, and results in account deactivation.
05 Limitations of Liability & Indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, thenailsapp shall not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of:
- Allergic reactions to nail primers, dehydrators, gel polishes, acrylic monomers, or acetone.
- Accidental property damage (e.g. polish stains on residential furniture or flooring) caused by independent mobile specialists.
- Workmanship dissatisfaction regarding color shades, art execution, or natural nail retention.
- Acts, omissions, or delays of independent specialists or clients.
You agree to defend and hold harmless thenailsapp and its officers from claims, liabilities, or expenses resulting from your breach of these Terms or actions occurring during an appointment.
